The One Who Never Changes
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever (Hebrews 13:8 NIV).
The past few days have contained tremendously sad events which have caused hearts to reach out to each other and turn to God for comfort. We come together to pray and we mourn with those who mourn.
For those who are grieving, happiness is hard to find, even at the Happiest Place on Earth.
Happiness depends on what is happening around us, while joy comes from the Holy Spirit within us. We may not always be “happy” but joy may be found in knowing there is hope.
For the joy He knew was coming, Jesus endured the cross (Hebrews 12:2).
Jesus came for us, He died for us, and He rose again to be with the Father. God sent His Son for you because He loves you – yesterday, today, and tomorrow.
His love for you never changes. His love never fails. His love brings us deep, abiding joy as we come together as one.
When everything in the world is changing, Christ is constant.
In an ever-changing world, may our hearts learn to rely on our never-changing God.
In the arms of His love is where eternal joy is found.
Heavenly Father,
I praise You for Your presence in our lives. I praise You for the comfort You give when we place our hope in You. In this ever-changing world, You are our constant. Help us to rest in Your loving embrace and remember that one day You will wipe away every tear and make all things new.
