I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. Philippians 3:14 (NIV)

“Ohhhh, that’s OK, try it again!”
“Finish Strong!”
“Keep your eyes on the GOAL!”
“You’ve got this! You can do it!”
My family loves the sport of lacrosse. My husband was a lax player in his younger days and my teenage son is a serious lax player today.
We travel near and far for my son to play in tournaments. My “mamma’s heart” cheers him on and our hearts beat fast as the emotions on the side line range from extreme excitement to disappointment in a matter of seconds.
Regardless of the score, I cheer him on to the very end, because at the end of the day, there is only one winner.
As believers in Jesus Christ, we have an advocate who helps us stay focused on the ultimate prize.
But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. John 14:26 (NIV)
Living a life for Christ is not easy. In good times and uncertain times it calls for believers to be compassionate, caring, loving, and truthful.
Jesus loves those that the world hates. Each one of us in our own sin is the woman at the well.
The world wants to throw stones. Jesus wants us to examine our own souls. We are each responsible for examining our own souls.
