Oneness: In Christ & Community

How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!(Psalm 133:1 NIV).

God never intended for us to do life on our own, but rather as one in Him.

Oneness. God created the world in community: The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit.

However, after the fall we became separated from God, but God sent His Son back to the world to reconcile us to Himself because God loves oneness. He gave us the gift of the Holy Spirit so we may live together as one.

Peter said to them, “Repent, and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:38 NASB).

St. Patrick taught the concept of the trinity in his part of the world thousands of years ago. He used the shamrock as an example of three separate parts in one: three leaves, yet one clover.

When God lives in us, we live in oneness with Him.

Christ with me, Christ before me,
Christ behind me, Christ within me,
Christ at my right hand, Christ at my left.

Christ in the heart of every man who thinks of me,
Christ in the mouth of every man who speaks to me,
Christ in every eye that sees me,
Christ in every ear that hears me.
~St. Patrick

When we gather together to encourage and build each other up, we live together as one body in oneness and in unity with all other believers.

We need each other! You matter!

Many Blessings,

Basking in His Light
