He is Always Faithful

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9 (NIV)
It is finished! No more striving. Be still. Rest in Him, confess and set your heart back on Him.

God sent Jesus to the world for this. Forgiveness.

Even before we stole the toy, snuck the candy, or said a lie, our bodies contained sin with which we were born.

In the Old Testament, when blood was shed forgiveness was given. On the cross, Jesus (the Lamb) became the final sacrifice once and for all. He is always faithful. In exchange for His blood, we receive mercy, justice, redemption, and complete righteousness. He came for us to meet us right where we are, and cancel our sins.

But first, we have to recognize that we have sin and we need Him, and oh how we need Him.

The more I slow down the more I realize how much I need Him, and how He has been patiently waiting the whole time for me to return.

Heavenly Father, Thank You for never waivering. Thank you for waiting patiently for each one of us to return to You. May the few extra moments in my day be filled with joyful moments that lead me closer to you. In the precious name of Jesus I pray, Amen
