He uses ALL things for His Purposes

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.  Romans 8:28 (NIV)

Life comes against us hard sometimes.  In the craziness it’s easy to ask, “Why me?”

Why did God choose me to be in this situation?

Sometimes we may even get pretty angry as we carry the weight of the world on our shoulders.

However, it’s when we are quiet in the “Why me?” that we begin to hear from the great I Am.

He whispered, “I Am who I Am,” (Exodus 3:14) to Moses in the wilderness.  He breathes those same words over us today.  Moses was in the wilderness running and hiding when God met him in the burning bush, and God let Moses know that He was at work in his life yesterday, He is at work in his life today, and He will be at work in his life tomorrow.

God is the great “I Am” and he uses “all things” for my good.  That’s a crazy perspective to have when your heart is hurting or you are physically ill.  But, God’s word does not say in “some things” or in the “things that I like” or in the “things that are easy.”

No, His word says that He works for our good in “all things.”  In the middle of the most difficult moments we learn how to completely rely on Him.  He wants us to rely on Him in “all things” not only “some things.”

The Christian way is different: harder, and easier. Christ says, ‘Give me All.  I don’t want so much of your time and so much of your money and so much of your work: I want You.” C.S. Lewis

When we let go of fear we learn how to trust and rely on God completely, He moves us where He wants us to be. We realize that in “all things” He was present, patiently waiting for us to turn back to Him…

When we are able to see His fingerprints on our experiences He give us the words and the actions needed to comfort and help others know Him in “all things.”

So hold onto our Living Hope dear friends in “all things” all the time.  I am holding on with you.

Heavenly Father, I praise  you for being the Creator of “all things” created.  I praise you for using “all things” for Your glory.  Thank you for loving us and for creating us with a purpose in mind.  May we grow deeper in our relationship with You through each experience, so that we may know You more and then help others to see you in “all things.”  In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen
