One Moment ~ One Story
Abram believed the LORD, and he credited it to him as righteousness. Genesis 15:6 (NIV)
In our hearts, the moment the words in the Bible move from being merely printed text to actually being our life and breath, is the moment we first believe.
For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Hebrews 4:12 (NIV)
That moment when we realize God’s promises are true for yesterday, today, and tomorrow.
That moment when we choose to stand firm for God.
That moment when we understand faith is about who He is, and what He did for us on the cross.
And in that same moment, God displays mercy and deems us righteous.
Our righteousness is not a result of anything we did, but is a result of what He has done.
Your moment may be one day, or a season of time in your life.
It’s when you realize God loved you from the beginning (1 John 4:19).
It’s when you fully understand His Son died for you (John 3:16)
It’s the moment you choose to fully love. Him. back (John 15:16).
Each one has our own unique moment, however His story remains the same.
Regardless of where we physically live, this Hope gives our hearts a place to call home.
For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through the endurance taught in the Scriptures and the encouragement they provide we might have hope. Romans 15:4 (NIV)
