Steele, an FCA Leader from Hilton Head Prep, sums up the school year for me, “It was good.” Our environment may have changed, but the mission remains the same: To lead every coach and athlete into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and His church!

Pursue LIFE

FCA Campus Huddles, Team Huddles, and Coaches Huddles met all year. I continue to encourage and love students right where they are with the hope that they will discover a personal relationship with their Heavenly Father. 

The Hilton Head Prep FCA Campus Huddle received a generous monetary donation from First Baptist Church of Hilton Head which allowed for us to purchase Bibles, t-shirts, and breakfast for the Campus Huddle!

Pursue TEAM

Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near. Hebrews 10:24-25 (NLT) 

In January, Campus Huddles and Team Huddles chose their “One Word” for the year! Teams chose individual words as well as a word that brought their team together as one! Middle School Campus Huddles also met throughout the school year! The Hilton Head High School Coaches Huddle met weekly on Thursday mornings before school and the Hilton Head Prep Coaches Huddle met on Wednesday mornings! Through FCA I was able to give Bibles, t-shirts, gear and devotionals to many coaches this year and we also provided awesome resources such as “3D Coach” by Jeff Duke! The Hilton Head High FCA Campus Huddle met virtually at the beginning of the year as we traveled through The Core together, but then we moved on campus in January! The Campus Huddle has been going strong throughout 2021! The FCA Leadership Team continues to meet every Monday morning! 

The FCA Multi-Campus Girls Bible study met weekly on Sunday mornings at Island Bagel all throughout the school year! We traveled through Psalm 34 in the fall and God’s Promises in the spring. On some Sundays, we had up to four different schools represented! Many schools, one body! 

Just last week SouthCoastal FCA hosted our first Golf Tournament! I enjoyed encouraging the teams and taking pictures of all the players with my awesome teammates! FCA has the best adult campus volunteers! All of this ministry would not be possible if it were not for the awesome teams of adult volunteers! They serve and encourage daily and they make my heart smile. 

Hilton Head Prep’s Coaches Huddle and Campus Huddle combined one morning to have a sunrise huddle on the beach! The morning was beautiful in many ways! 

Pursue MISSION

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth. Acts 1:28 (NLT) 

God is good and we are grateful. Ministry has not missed a beat, even in the middle of a pandemic! The Fellowship of Christian Athletes continues to meet students, athletes, and coaches right where they are and disciple them. What a joy it is to be a part of this ministry! 

I continue to organize [THE] Huddle: For Women with weekly meetings which are building up to the annual event here on Hilton Head in January. If you are a female athlete, female coach, coaches spouse, or FCA partner, please reach out to me to join a huddle if you are not a part of one already. Huddles meet monthly for discipleship throughout the year! If you would like to be a part of reaching students, athletes, and coaches right where they are for God and His Kingdom, please consider partnering with FCA in ministry. A small donation each month makes a huge difference in the lives of students, coaches, athletes, teachers, and administrators! I have personally seen God meet people through the ministry of FCA and change the trajectory of their lives for eternity.

Right now, donations are being used to send students to camp and to prepare for the many experiences we are offering to athletes and coaches this summer! 

My FCA Home Team continues to meet every Friday morning to pray together. We pray over every aspect of life as we grow together through His Word. If you have a prayer request, please let me know and we will take time to pray!
