Heavenly Father,

I praise You for the gift of a new school year!

I praise You for every student, teacher, and family You have gathered together in every learning environment.

Thank You that Your family has never been limited to one nation, one language, or one culture! You imagined a people gathered from every corner of the earth from the very beginning for “such a time as this.”

Thank You for creating EVERY student in Your image, fearfully and wonderfully made, with a story uniquely their own. May they grow in wisdom and stature and in favor with God and man.

And Jesus increased in wisdom and in stature and in favor with God and man. Luke 2:52 (ESV)

Help every student to feel confident in who they are in You. And may they notice the one sitting alone, the one who is new, the one who feels different. May every student feel seen, heard, and loved.

For the teachers, coaches, and staff: Please give them wisdom, energy, and love that goes beyond what is required. May they see every student not as a name on a roster, but as one You created perfectly and dearly love. And thank You that the work You begin this year, in every heart, You will carry on to completion.
